"Dip into your soul!"
Renaissance Woman
by Micki Muse

First published as a poet at sixteen, an au pair in France,  Teacher of the Deaf
in Hawaii,  college professor and administrator are just a few of the experiences
that Jennifer N. Welsh has had in her thirty-two years of life.  Joie de vivre and
carpe diem are her credos.  Recently, a dream has come true when she added
entrepreneur to her resume as founder and CEO of Poetic Fondue, Inc.

She originally began with a small idea.  “Once the seed was planted, by my
friend who I now call my muse, to showcase my poetry collection called Love’s
Rhythm in Fantasy Personified, the seed just kept growing and more and more
ideas kept coming,” Jennifer says excitedly with a wide and very contagious
smile.  From there, Poetic Fondue, Inc. was born.  “I was nervous and fearful
in the beginning.  I think I still am in a sense, about what’s going to happen
with my business, but I was so excited and having so much fun that I did it
anyway and I’m still doing it!”

Jennifer’s poetry is very impressive, but we must warn you that it is not your
traditional poetry.  Jennifer writes about slices of time that are extremely erotic,
illuminating the feelings of the inner soul and spirit in a given sensual or sexual
moment.  Her work surprises people because of the emotions that it evokes.  “I
call it romance with an erotic edge because it’s neither solely roses and happy-
endings, nor is it solely hardcore erotica.  It’s a combination of both.  Some of
the poetry is very explicit, but remains tasteful.  It will definitely make you
blush.  It still makes me blush when I do poetry readings!”  Jennifer says.  The
artwork, which is done by upcoming artist Ebony Yizar, is united with the
poetry to create a very powerful experience.  “I was very lucky to find Ebony
because she has wonderful sense of color and once she read the poetry her
ideas on the original artwork started to flow freely,” Jennifer explains.  The
result is the poetry cards that Jennifer sells as the main item of her introductory
gift set, befittingly entitled the Pleasure Pyramid.

The other items that Jennifer sells in the Pleasure Pyramid are tea and candles.
“I don’t want people to read the poetry quickly.  I would like them to sit down
and enjoy the multi-sensory bouquet of flavors from the tea I have chosen,
with the romance of candlelight and enjoy the poetry and artwork.  I really
want them to take time for themselves and truly have an experience, because
THEY deserve it,” Jennifer says.

Jennifer has big plans for Poetic Fondue, Inc..  She has dozens of unique
poetry-influenced items still to come.  “I’m so excited for these items to come
out because these are gifts that people have never seen before and will really
enjoy.  If they have seen a version of some of the items, then they have never
seen them done like this!”  Jennifer says excitedly.  As a current member of the
Romance Writers of America, Jennifer is not only focused on growing her
business, but also attaining a few personal and life-long goals.  “I am also in the
process of publishing my first romance novel called
Single by Choice?, which
will be released this fall.
Being a successful romance novel writer is one of my all-time goals,” Jennifer
adds.  Shall we add accomplished novel author to the resume?
